The Soundbone Folk Song Choir and the Francophone Association choir, La Rose des vents, are combining forces to offer a free joint concert featuring Newfoundland music, including a number of exciting new arrangements by Jean Hewson.

La chorale de l’Association francophone, La Rose des vents, fête la rentrée avec une soirée portes ouvertes – répétition relaxe et un petit verre après. Rendez-vous au Centre des grands-vents le lundi 11 septembre à 19h (65, chemin Ridge).
Pas besoin d’audition ou d’expérience dans un chœur. Venez avec un(e) ami(e), vous serez les bienvenus!

The Francophone Association choir, La Rose des Vents, is celebrating the start of a new season with an open rehearsal on Monday, September 11th, at 7 pm at 65 Ridge Road in St. John’s. This is a relaxed event: we’ll sing some songs and wrap up with a wine and cheese. All welcome: come along with a friend and try it out!
La Rose des Vents doesn’t require auditions, and you don’t have to be perfect at either French or singing. If you’ve ever wondered whether you’d enjoy it, now’s the time to find out! For more information, write us at chorale@acfsj.ca.

“L’AMITIÉ, L’AMOUR, LA JOIE”
La chorale de l’ACFSJ vous propose une fête de fin de saison: chansons, bar et petites bouchées.
Nous chanterons avec nos amis de QVE.
Le bar sera ouvert à 15h30. À 16h00 la chorale présentera un petit concert relax dans l’atrium du Centre – une sélection variée de ses chansons de cette saison sur le thème des émotions qui nous font chaud au cœur.
Samedi 29 avril 2023, 16h00 au Centre des grands-vents, 65, rue Ridge.
Activité gratuite, bar payant.
L’accès à cette activité est limité aux personnes de plus de 19 ans.
“FRIENDSHIP, LOVE AND JOY”
End-of-season celebration of the Francophone Association choir, with songs, snacks, and a cash bar.
We'll be joined by our friends from QVE.
The bar opens at 3:30. At 4:00 the choir will present an informal concert in the lobby – a varied selection of this season’s songs about the feelings that make your heart glow.
Saturday 29 April 2023 at the Centre des grands-vents, 65, Ridge Road.
Free admission, cash bar.
This activity is restricted to those aged 19 and over.
